Although we have set hours of operation for lessons, we sometimes come in early for administrative duties or close early based on the lesson schedule. Absolute Music Studios observes the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving. Normal lessons are on a break from July 22 through August 2, 2013 for studio maintainance. Normal lessons are also on break from December 23 through January 3, 2014 in observance of the various year-end holidays. Tuition All private music lessons at Absolute Music Studios are the same price. Tuition is billed on a monthly basis, regardless of how many weeks/lessons are in that month. Payments are processed in advance at the beginning of the month or the 15th of the month, based on the student’s preference. Tuition is based on a rate of $32 per lesson for half hour lessons and $64 per lesson for one hour lessons. There are 52 weeks in a year, but there will only be 48 lessons each calendar year to accommodate year end holidays and a small break in the summer for maintenance. Most months during the year have four weeks, though some months may have five or three weeks. We divide the 48 lessons in the year by 12 months and charge for four lessons every month regardless of how many weeks are in the month. Because of the four weeks off each calendar year are built into the monthly tuition, the lessons these weeks will not be credited or rescheduled.
