Come and enjoy a full day of family fun at Abacoa including live music from the students at Absolute Music Studios, a parade, bounce houses, water slides, carnival games, great food and of course fireworks! All the fun starts at 4pm. The Abacoa Town Center is located next to Roger Dean Stadium on Main Street in Jupiter. Student Showcase The Jupiter Community Center Auditorium will host our next Student Showcase on Friday, June 10. Based on the exceptional turnout of players and audience supporters at previous showcases, two different shows have been set. The first at 6pm followed by a completely new concert at 8pm. Solo, duet and complete bands of all ages and levels will perform. The Jupiter Community Center is located on Military Trail, just South of Indiantown Road. The event is FREE for all to attend. Student Showcase Chef John's Blues Bistro in Jupiter will host our next Student Showcase on Sunday, January 23. Based on the exceptional turnout of players and audience supporters, two different shows have been set. The first at Noon followed by a completely new concert at 2pm. Solo, duet and complete bands of all ages and levels will perform. Chef John's is located at 287 East Indiantown Road. Just East of the bridge from US 1. The event is free for all to attend. Food and beverage is available for purchase. Elliott Crawford Joins Absolute Music Absolute Music Studios is proud to have Elliott Crawford join our team of professional instructors. He will be working with drum and percussion students of all ages and levels. Students Perform at Guanabanas View Flyer Students from Absolute Music Studios will provide live entertainment at Guanabanas on Tuesday evenings begining September 13, 2010. This family fun evening will begin at 5pm and continue until 8pm. Kids can eat free off of the Little Rippers menu. Students will perform from 6-7pm on the Tiki Stage. This is a free event. Photos will be posted soon. Celebrity Dog Wash Featuring Joan Jett Joan Jett rocked Jupiter with a concert at the 26th Annual Safe Harbor Celebrity Dog Wash. Absolute Music Studios was proud to sponsor this outstanding event that included a full day of music, food, entertainment and fun for all. In honor of this dog-friendly event, our friends at Get’m Get’m Wear (www.getmgetm.com), famous for their pet products and guitar straps donned by such artists as Avril Lavigne, Prince, Sammy Hagar and others, donated an excited prize for one winner and their pooch that included a designer dog bed and two guitar straps. Congratulations to Carl Thomsen of Tequesta who won the grand prize. Carl was very excited to hear his name was drawn randomly from all of the participants. As a seasoned guitar player, the guitar straps are a great addition to his collection. His dog Lucy, a Maltese Poodle mix (Malti-Poo) will also be styling in the new whimsical dog bed. Joyce and her family recently visited Absolute Music Studios where when we learned Joyce plans on giving the guitar to her granddaughter as a holiday gift. We are one of the only facilities in Palm Beach County currently offering lessons for this fun instrument. Fourth Annual Art in the Gardens Absolute Music Studios is proud to participate in this year’s Art in the Gardens. Performances by students and instructors, as well as music demonstrations will be showcased on the entertainment stage throughout this two day event, November 21-22. at Midtown in Palm Beach Gardens. The event is open from 10am - 5pm on both days and Absolute Music Studios will perform on the hour, every hour, beginning at 11am. Free admission and parking. Christopher Maloney, co-owner of Absolute Music Studios, has one of his former bass students, Evan Joffred, featured in the new movie Fame. The film is currently in theaters worldwide. Joffred studied bass guitar with Maloney for nearly five years in Los Angeles until Maloney’s recent move to Jupiter earlier this year to open Absolute Music Studios. This recent success story follows a long line of student placements credited to Maloney. His students have gone on to perform with such major acts as Rihanna, Liz Phair, Lifehouse, Ashes Divide and the network band featured on Nickelodeon. Semi-Finals of King of Blues Contest Now Complete - Finals Next Month Christopher Maloney joined a panel of industry judges for this event. Christopher Maloney, owner and instructor at Absolute Music Studios has been selected as a judge for Guitar Center's King of the Blues, the nationwide search for the next great undiscovered blues guitar player. Competitions will take place at over 200 Guitar Center locations across the country, culminating with the Grand Finals in Los Angeles this November. In addition to showcasing the top five finalists, the King of the Blues Grand Finals will also feature performances by renowned blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa and Grammy award winner Pete Anderson.
